The Star Trek franchise began in 1966 with the television series Star Trek: The Original Series. Ever since, there has been numerous spin-off shows: Star Trek: The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Star Trek: Voyager, and Star Trek: Enterprise, as well as the film series which make up the core of the franchise’s mythos.
