We all know that Sinister director Scott Derrickson is working on Doctor Strange for Marvel Studios, but now Yahoo reports that the film has an official release date. Production on the film is slated to begin in the UK late this early and early 2015 for a July 8th, 2016 release.
The film will tell the story of Dr. Stephen Strange, a former neurosurgeon who becomes the sorcerer supreme and one of the most powerful superheroes in the entire Marvel universe. Doctor Strange marks Marvel Studios film to tackle the magical and horror-esque aspects of the universe.
Joaquin Phoenix has been rumored to be in talks for the role, which would be a great choice for the role and would bring some gravity to the role.
