Harvey Pekar is best known for his autobiographical American Splendor comic series. In 2003, the series inspired a critically acclaimed film adaptation of the same name. Sadly the artist died in October of last year due to an accidental overdose of antidepressants fluoxetine and bupropion.
I found these great images from a comic strip from Marvel Comics’ Strange Tales II, titled Harvey Pekar Meets The Thing. Apparently the comic short was written by Harvey before his death.
