Jennifer Lawrence gives off that vibe that she could immediately become your bestie, but Amy Schumer is lucky enough to have it actually become a reality.
Lawrence told The New York Times Wednesday that she and Schumer are working together, writing a comedic screenplay in which the two will both star and play sisters.
The two started emailing, then texting, and then went jet skiing, shortly after Lawrence saw Trainwreck. Lawrence now says they’re almost done and have 100 pages already.
“Amy and I were creatively made for each other,” Lawrence told NYT. “We have different flavors. It’s been the most fun experience of my life. We start the day off on the phone, laughing. And then we send each other pages. And we crack up. I’m flying out tomorrow to see her in Chicago. We’ll write a little bit with her sister, Kim, who worked with Amy when she was writing Trainwreck.”
This as of yet untitled screenplay will be Schumer’s second feature film writing credit and Lawrence’s first. Hopefully they join the ranks of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler and their upcoming film Sisters as just some of the coolest, funniest women that everyone wants to hang out with.
