Rumors have appeared on film website Blackfilm.com that Sahrlto Copley, star of this summers sleeper hit District 9, may play the roll of Captain H.M. “Howling Mad” Murdock in the upcoming A-Team movie. The character of Murdock, played by Dwight Schultz in the original series, is known for his insane nature, as he escapes mental institutions in order to help on A-Team missions.
Although Copely’s first big screen appearance was District 9, the new up-and-coming star has yet to sign on to any other film. If the rumors are true, Copley will be joining an already diverse cast, including Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and UFC fighter Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson. The A-Team movie, directed by Joe Carnahan (Narc, Smokin’ Aces), is slated for a June 11, 2010 theatrical release.
