We here at Sound On Sight are big fans of Insidious, perhaps the only decent horror film so far of 2011. Michael Waldman, Justine Smith and myself all gave it a fairly positive review on episode 21 of the Sordid Cinema podcast. Joshua Youngerman wrote a raving review saying, “Insidious is a superior horror film and destined to become a cult classic and deservedly so. Wan’s film proves that what you don’t see is often scarier than what you do”.
On July 11th, Fangoria will be hosting an exclusive screening of Insidious at the Silent Theater in Los Angeles. Immediately following the screening at around 9pm PST/midnight EST, they will be doing a Q&A with director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell, which will be live-streamed directly to their Insidious Facebook Page. All questions will be fan-generated and they’ve already begun collecting questions on the Insidious Facebook Page, as well as via Twitter using #InsidiousLIVE
If you tune in to the Q&A on their Insidious Facebook Page and leave a comment on the Ustream tab using #InsidiousLIVE, then you will be instantly entered for a chance to win a free DVD copy of the film.
