John Waters Lists His Top 10 Films of 2010 and It’s Pretty Interesting

Everyone likes to release their lists of top 10 films but not everyone posts a list worth looking at. Usually the lists all look alike but you can always count on filmmaker John Waters to publish a list worth talking about, even if you don’t necessarily agree with his choices. This year Waters tops his list with Domain by Patric Chiha starring Béatrice Dalle, best known for her role in Betty Blue. Waters says, “the film will leave you breathless by the sheer elegance of this astonishing little workouts” – workouts meaning the majority of the film sees the main characters simply walking around. In the second spot is Enter the Void by Gaspar Noé, stating it to be the best film ever about taking hallucinogenic drugs. I am glad to see that, Dogtooth a film that made our top 10 last year, makes an appearance. But what was really surprising is the inclusion of Ricky by French director François Ozon. I haven’t had a chance to see the movie yet but I hear great things. Water calls it “a great special-effects movie, though there’s only one effect: a flying baby. If David Lynch and David Cronenberg had sex and one of them magically got pregnant, this film could be their offspring”.
