The follow-up to Key & Peele is here.
Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael-Key are heading to Fox for a single camera sitcom with the help of Vine star King Bach, Deadline reports. Produced by Key and Peele, the untitled comedy is loosely based on a King Bach Vine and stars Andrew Bachelor (Bach’s real name) as an undercover cop who grew up on the streets and goes back to his old neighborhood to take down the bad guys who bullied him when they were kids.
This is Key and Peele’s first project together since the end of their Emmy- winning Comedy Central sketch comedy show. Bachelor has become Vine’s biggest star, boasting 14 million followers and 5.1 billion loops. The Groundlings alum has parlayed his Vine success into a rising acting career with recurring roles on The Mindy Project, House Of Lies and Black Jesus. He also appeared on Key & Peele.
There is no set date for the Fox show, but Key will next be seen voicing a character in the Angry Birds Movie and in Mike Birbiglia’s Don’t Think Twice. Peele is set to write and direct horror film, Get Out.
