Kim Ji-Woon Takes ‘Last Stand’ With Liam Neeson

Director Kim Ji-Woon, the man responsible for A Tale of Two Sisters, A Bittersweet Life, The Good, The Bad, and the Weird and the ultra-violent I Saw Devil has lined up his first American directing gig. Variety reported recently that Liam Neeson will be starring in the South Korean director’s Hollywood debut, Last Stand a film written by Andrew Knauer. The script was featured on last year’s screenplay Blacklist and is apparently an action thriller described as a contemporary Western, ala a lone Sheriff taking a stand against formidable odds. Comparrisons for Nesson’s character are being made to Cary Cooper’s in High Noon.
