Donald Glover is best known as Troy in NBC’s comedy Community, a former high school football star trying to find his way. What many people don’t know is just how many projects Glover juggles at once in his career. He’s an actor, comedian (a member of the comedy troupe ‘Derrick’, an ensemble which released a movie called Mystery Team), writer (30 Rock) and even a talented rapper. Under his Childish Gambino moniker, Glover is releasing an album on March 8, but the video for his first single, “Freaks And Geeks,” just hit the internet and it’s already a trending topic on Twitter. Glover’s other nicknames for himself include Cheezy, Bambino X, Bam-B, Sir Durton Cloud 9, Ms. Long-Lady Stanhope, and Bambini.
Glover also DJs and produces his own music under the moniker ‘mcDJ.’ His music is of the electronic/remix variety and is often made available for free download via his official site. His current album releases include Love Letter in an Unbreakable Bottle and Utterances of the Heart.
