‘Rewind This!’ Movie Review

Rewind This!

For a long time prior to the advent of DVDs and Blu-Rays, videocassettes were the storage medium of choice for movies, tv shows, and other assorted things. The invention of the videocassette was revolutionary, as it allowed people to, for the first time, watch things on their schedule, rather than the network’s, and gave the public and content creators unfiltered access to each other for the first time in history. The story of videocassettes, specifically those in the VHS format, is thus a fascinating one, and it is a look at the effects of VHS tapes that director Josh Johnson intends to explore in his new documentary. Titled Rewind This!, the movie will be premiering at the South by Southwest festival, and the first trailer has now been released, and can be seen below.
