2013 was a banner year for Sound On Sight, and we are hoping to improve once again in 2014. With so many films, TV shows, games and comics released each month, we are once again in need of talented new writers to join our team. This is your chance to contribute to one of the internet’s fastest growing, independently run publications. Here are some positions we are looking to fill:
Games:
Sound On Sight is seeking contributors who wish to review and report on the newest video game releases, running the gamut from Xbox One and PS4 titles to smaller indie games and everything in between. We’re looking for contributors interested in writing feature stories, reviews, previews, historical context and more about one of the fastest growing mediums in entertainment.
Comics:
Sound On Sight is also seeking volunteers who wish to review and cover the newest comic book and graphic novel releases running the gamut from mainstream superhero titles to obscure indie titles and everything in between. We’re looking for contributors interested in writing feature stories, reviews, previews, historical context and more. Writers can pitch story ideas and/or request assignments linking to new review copies from comics most innovative publishers including Marvel, Image, Dark Horse, Vertigo, DC, IDW, Legendary, Titan and more.
TV /Film
We’re looking to expand our TV and Film sections to include more reviews, columns, features, retrospectives and festival coverage. Writers can pitch story ideas and/or request assignments, and begin their own column. There are plenty of promising shows premiering this year, and we are short on writers to cover them all. We are also looking for writers who can attend various film festivals across the globe including Cannes, Sundance, SXSW, Fantastic Fest and Venice – as well as movie buffs who’d like to start a column on movie scores, LGBT cinema, cinematography and criterion DVD reviews.
