The fall finale has come and gone. There won’t be any more episodes until January. Heroes Reborn has left much of its cast scattered to the winds, trying to converge and save the world. Everyone has some of the answers to how to accomplish this; no one has all the answers.

Betrayal is the wrong word. Betrayal presupposes a condition of trust. No one in their right mind would have trusted Heroes Reborn up to this point, so no one could technically have been betrayed by the events of “June 13th – Part Two”.
Family is as important to the universe of Heroes as Primatech or people inexplicably coming back to life. The Petrelli’s and the Nakamura’s and the Bennet’s and the Suresh’s had grand lineages that went into controlling the evos and exploiting them and understanding them. This focus gives the series grounding: We all have family and understand the various pains and strains that those relationships and exceptions generate in life.
Heroes creator Tim Kring is back to oversee this new batch of 13 episodes. While that could be an omen for bad things to come, the Heroes Reborn premiere is a solid couple of episodes that mostly avoids the issues that made the back, well, majority of Heroes such a slog. HRG is still the highlight.
