One of the most notable ceremonies of the film and television awards circuit is the Golden Globes. Done by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the awards honour a wide range of industry professionals, and is one of the few award ceremonies to honour both film and television. Comedy stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler returned for a second year in a row to co-host the event, and some of the big winners of the night included

– Robin Wright for Best Actress in a TV series, Drama, for her role in House of Cards

– Spike Jonze for Best Screenplay – Motion Picture, for Her

– Leonardo DiCaprio for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for his role in The Wolf of Wall Street

– The Disney film Frozen for Best Animated Feature

– Amy Adams for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, for her role in American Hustle

– Elisabeth Moss for Best Actress in a Mini-Series or TV Movie for her role in Top of the Lake

– Amy Poehler for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy, for her role in Parks and Recreation

– Alfonso Cuaron for Best Director – Motion Picture, for Gravity

– The Fox show Brooklyn Nine-Nine for Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy
