It was quite a slow week for music videos this week or so I thought. However, these 5 all share beautiful visuals and a nostalgic vibe (despite the locations differing). This week’s list is quite an interesting collection because there are two lots of two that are similar and then there is one video which is wildly different all together. alt-J’s nostalgia heavy “Left Hand Free” and Twin Peaks’ homage to 1993 film The Sandlot “I Found a New Way” both depict the pleasant and carefree summer we’ve all fantasied about when growing up that only really seems to happen in cheesy American coming of age movies. Where as HANAH’s beautifully minimalistic “Out of Touch” and The Fauns’ urban “4AM” video favour more experimental narratives and filming techniques. Nonetheless there is something that stands out in every video which helps bring the video to life. Suno Deko’s gorgeously shot “Thrown Color” video in particular caters to the song very well.
Enjoy!
