One of the most prestigious awards in the film circuit is the Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars. Given out by The Academy of Motion Pictures and Sciences, the Oscars have gained importance over the years due to the prestige they bring to winners, many of whom often find commercial success to go with their critical recognition. Previous winners have included the Coen brothers, Woody Allen, and Denzel Washington, among many others.
