Theme song for newest Bond movie ‘Skyfall’, performed by Adele, now released

The tradition of iconic songs accompanying the release of every movie in the Bond franchise is a tradition as old as the franchise itself, gaining its own level of importance over the years. Performers such as Tom Jones, Chris Cornell, Madonna, Tina Turner, Carly Simon, A-Ha, Louis Armstrong, and Paul McCartney have performed songs for various films, with Jack White and Alicia Keys collaborating for 2008’s Quantum of Solace. For the newest entry in the franchise, Skyfall, rising British singer Adele was tapped to perform, and with just over a month until the movie’s release, the official song has now been made public. Also titled Skyfall, the song was co-written by Adele and Paul Epworth, and the song and accompanying video can be seen below.
