If you were betting that someday Will Ferrell would do Shakespeare, you can cash in now.

Variety reported on Tuesday that Sony has picked up a currently untitled comedy starring Ferrell that centers around the intense, competitive world inside a Shakespearean theater company. The screenplay will be written by David Guion and Michael Handelman (Dinner for Schmucks).

This adds to a busy slate for Ferrell as the actor will be appearing in a host of films in the coming years. He is currently set up for next year’s comedy Get Hard, with Kevin Hart and Daddy’s Home with Mark Wahlberg. He also is attached to appear in James Franco’s Zeroville and the sequel to Zoolander that Ben Stiller is attached to direct.

The actor has had a quiet year so far in 2014 with his only prominent role coming in The Lego Movie as Lord Business.
